Anytime Fitness is not as fun as it used to be.
I like that I have met some good owners that share knowledge and are helpful with questions.
All the good people have have moved on. Lack of transparency. Poor quality from corporate owned vendors. Weak support. This is not the same Anytime that I fell in love with. I don’t need corporate for my clubs to be successful. I am self reliant and I know my attitude and effort will control my success. Anytime Fitness has changed significantly since Covid. It seems corporate is more of a road block to success than a pathway. I am independent and don’t call corporate or ask for help or advice often. Before Covid, if I needed corporate’s help or advice, they stepped up to the plate. Since Covid, it has been the opposite. Laughably so. It feels like we are not on the same team anymore. It felt that way at conference too. I want more clubs. I would already have more if I felt confident in corporate.

NoNegativeDisapprovesI own five locations and they perform well, but corporate makes it feel like running the business with our hands tied. They’re completely out of touch with franchisee needs and provide no real support. I would never recommend buying an Anytime Fitness franchise.
Honestly, not a lot. The people are that work a Corporate farce very nice but have little authority to do anything. Corporate itself cares absolutely nothing about the franchisees
The fact that they make the absolute worst Partnerships with vendors, the most Antiquated and outdated vendors. They force us to use these vendors that literally charge 10x pricing. For example a camera system that should cost $6,000 installed is legitimately $25,000 and they force you to change it every 6 years. Then when the camera system goes down, provision the security company does not support the tech. I had a door down for 2 weeks at a time and for $25,000 for a system you would expect better customers support

The number of locations across the nation and world
Corporate keeps take more $$$ every year. Past 15 years. They have increased feed dramatically. Current refresh they just put on all us is over 100k. Fees went up dramatically. Shrunk profitability and made many locations have to close. Securicty update they make you do every 5 years is 30,000. Call other owners before buying in.

Its 24 hours open and great equipments
The cost of operating is extremely high. The profitability is next to impossible. I personally have put in tremendous time and energy but its a very tough business and the operational costs are approx 20 lac inr per month
