Prior to the transition to Purpose Brands from SE Brands Chuck and Dave had a better understanding of the brand. Now with them essentially out, the direction of the brand has been declining with too many added expenses from corporate to allow an owner to live.
In small markets with low rent and competition this can work.
Corporates continued overreach into the clubs after the merger with Orange theory. Too many requirments now and too many requests that do not improve the customer experience.

The model I bought 20 years ago is what I liked.
The current model of the franchise continually milking the franchisee for more money with little actual support, especially in the area of electronics/security.

Love the brand and being able to impact people in a positive way every day in my community. Also the ability to have multiple units, the sheer volume of ideas generated by franchisees and the support from corporate and other franchisees. Learned so much from so many people.
I would like the ability to open a express location in a couple smaller towns. Corporate offered that option in the past, and the economics made sense for small towns with square footage locations. Want that option back.

Wish the cost was lower and some type of incentive for for multi-unit operators. There really isn't an incentive. There should be.
