Since this Company went public, the leadership focus has changed to satisfying shareholders instead of supporting FOs, and meeting contractual obligations.
Wide Market Access
Corporate doesn't keep its obligations. Service is dismal. FOs told service would be performed by Service Dept. FOs must do service constantly as Franchise fails to uphold its obligations. Service and Agents cannot dialog, conversations are typically one directional against FOs. FOs are constantly threatened with non-compliance by Corporate. Environment is hostile towards FOs verse corporate channels.
NoNegativeDisapprovesNice offering, deceptive recruitment, MANY service problems, and a deaf corporate team.
They offer a vast array of insurance carriers through which you can place business. They have a nice proprietary quoting system
They are deceitful in recruitment about goals, and their ability to seize your book. You do NOT own your policies. They find any way they can to not pay you your commission. They have Goosehead-only restrictions from their carriers that the carriers do not have for the independent channel. You will not appointed for all of the carriers Gooseheas uses. They promise service and chanege thousands in monthly fees for it, but the service dept has LONG waits for the client and often turn it back to the agent. I still did 90% of my service yet still paid the Goose. Goosehead corporate acts like they care, but really only cares about stock price. If you aren't in and established, they want you gone. No supprt offered for growth, but they demand it. One sales manager told me "Goosehead loves taking the agents' money"
NoNegativeDisapprovesGoosehead has consistently acted in bad faith cutting capabilities, cutting out revenue streams while raising production requirements, and failing to deliver the high-quality service we pay half our earnings for, all while forcing out franchises to focus on corporate growth.
The overall choice model with a high tech functional aggregator is a desirable.
Everything else. Goosehead 100% did a bait and switch on many of their Franchises that entered between 2020 and 2023. Promises were made and then one by one promises were not kept to the point that eventually nothing was as promised initially. The absolute worst default in their promises has been the poor quality of the service department. Agents essentially pay half of thier earning to have the highest quality service department in the industry. At this point it is a joke and most agents are serving much of their books for free. In the current environment Goosehead is actively forcing franchises out and clearly shifting their focus and investment into a much larger corporate footprint. They are down almost half of the franchises they had 2-3 years ago. IF someone was interested in this franchise I would highly recommend operating as a producer prior to ever making the decision to invest in a franchise. That way you can verify what appointments you will be able to get and see first hand how the company operates.

There’s a perception that corporate decision-making is one-sided, without sufficient input from franchisees. Communication from corporate is inconsistent or lacks transparency, making it difficult to stay aligned. Opportunities for inclusion are limited—for example, key events like the annual conference being invite-only rather than open to all franchisees. There is a lack of accountability from corporate regarding its own actions and decisions.
