I would steer clear of RE/MAX. You will be on the hook personally for five years and this industry is extremely unstable. RE/MAX worked in the 70's & 80's when agents were looking for higher commissions and being able to brand themselves. All the big brokerages provide that now.
I enjoyed the somewhat lower cost to get into the franchise
The structure is one that will not last in the real estate industry. It puts all of the weight on the franchise owner to make them self competitive and this just isn't possible when dealing with the large corporate owned brokerages like Compass.
NoNegativeDisapprovesBest brand, network of agents and broker owners, and proud to part of leading our industry with professionalism always.
Brand, support from our Canadian franchise team and leadership. Quality of the network with fellow broker/owners and agents, always the best in our industry.
Technology, not keeping up fast enough and support lacking to fix bugs/issues. should have a full end to end software package as part of the franchise offering.

Brand
Despite the each office independently owned and operated tag line there are some offices that are owned by the CEO that operate in competition to existing franchisees
NoNegativeNeutralRE/MAX it is in the past, and unfortunately for anyone investing, they are in the road to extinction.
Just the brand name for some specific target market
Corporate, structure, technology

RE/MAX has as much or as little assistance as a broker could ever hope for. The guidance is helpful without being overbearing...based on the franchisee's goals and interests.
It is harder to attract agents because the models wants only agents willing to invest in their careers. This can be an obstacle.
