While I am glad that I started my life as a small business owner with this franchise, the model itself is broken.
Brand recognition, particularly among vendors, helps with costs and vendor responsiveness. Transactional help among franchisees is there, though it is at times inconsistent.
Franchisee fees are structured to harm new operations. This is particularly problematic when veteran franchisees compete with new operations. Franchise seems to have developed a model to sell new franchise territories that are then resold to veteran franchisees when the new franchisees fail. There is active discrimination, as the franchisor favors larger incumbent franchisees in certain critical financial matters. Finally, the franchisor is actively competing with franchisees on certain initiatives.

The lack of direction and support for new owners. there is a whole lot of "figure it out" or "ask successful owners".
