After doing the review it is obvious that this franchise has the strength of the brand with is Canadian, but, it does not lend to a profitable franchise. There are too many franchise fees and the Royalty and advertising fees are too high for the profitability of the franchise.

The brand name, the Canadian suppliers

The profitability is too low for what is required to keep the store safe and running efficiently. To meet all the safety and food standards there needs to be more staff, but, there is not enough profit to staff properly. Owners have to work 70 a week to offset.

Reduce the Royalty percentage and the advertising percentage. Send head office staff to work at the store level once a week to help offset the costs to the franchisee (this service is something our Royalty fees should be put towards). Use the advertising funds more effectively! We have poor advertising for what we pay! Instead of paying Environex to evaluate stores, hire a company to assist the stores to bring them to a high level of safety and hygiene. Use the funds to fix the stores and not audit it. Use these funds to re-invest back into the stores instead of auditing and then dumping a cost back on the franchisee.
