The JOINT Chiropractic is a wonderful franchise opportunity. Working outside the insurance environment means I don't have to wait for, or fight with, a non-doctor insurance adjuster to provide the care I believe the patient needs.

As a DC I have the ability to positively impact the lives of all the patients that come through my door. Because I work outside of the medical insurance world I often evaluate patients who have barriers to seeing regular doctors, but I am none the less able to identify problems that need more than what I can provide, and so I explain what I have found and refer these patients toward the medical service I deem necessary. In this way I am reducing the time it takes for them to get the care they need even if I am not providing it.

There are times when a patient from another office comes into my office and the previous physical exam is not visible in the system. In those instances I have to do an unplanned physical exam. If the previous exam is available then I can continue with the patients care protocol. But I feel that making the previous most recent exam available would correct much of this problem.

I think that corporate does a good job. But I think they need to give more weight to what the Franchise owner representatives have to say.
