(1) Keep away from micromanagement and let the studios decide on what's best for them in terms of costing, price points, types of memberships & packages etc. (2) get involved in national & local level TV advertisements and be one-up with the competitors. (3) Do not charge franchisees for instructor trainings and continued education. Invest in it. (4) bring in better POS system and marketing tools that can provide ground level statistics that helps infomred decision making.
