In the 21 years I've been an owner and the changes and direction the franchisor is taking it, DO NOT invest in this franchise you will loose money!
The brand recognition.
Required programs that loose the business money, having to use vendor that corporate is getting kickbacks from and the items are over priced (using an unapproved vendor is grounds for them pulling your franchise), requiring self serve kiosk (at the cost of over $10,000)for Amazon and telling the owners we are accountable if the customer messes up or steals the item when stores across the country are removing self service check outs because they cannot stop the theft, now requiring us to open on Sundays (to keep Amazon) even when the store can show it is not profitable and UPS has no support for us because they are closed on Sundays and no packages move, corporate home office still works from home and it is frustrating to have someone respond or get them on the phone and this causes the owners delays that sometimes cost us money, they need to stop working from home and GO BACK to the OFFICE, our tech support is HORRIBLE, UPS giving steep discounts (better then we get) to other shipping platforms that make the stores seem like our prices are marked up when we can not change UPS shipping prices in our computers, requiring us to purchase supplies and equipment that that we will not use but have to have for quarterly inspections or you are marked off for not having because they get kick backs on it,
Return to the office and stop working from home. It's impossible to get the support we need. They need to listen to the business owners to see what needs improvement. It seems to be a shift in the business model they corporate is not sharing. The requirements for Amazon are not financially sustainable or profitable. Requiring opening on Sunday's for Amazon even when a center is losing money is wrong. LISTEN to the owners! This is our investment and we are worried with our franchisor not having our best interest in mind.
