Worst decision I ever made getting in business with these people. Their focus is squeezing as much money out of you as possible. Bottom line, they will let you fail before they stop their useless, expensive programs.

Corporate uses deceptive practices to get people to sign up. For example, only one franchisee I've spoken to realized that if they decide to close their business, corporate has a clause that forces you to pay your direct marketing fees until the 10 year mark....esentially bankrupting an already struggling owner. This wasn't clearly explained. The forced marketing program is break even for the most successful campaigns. I personally have had a 1 to 10 ROI for the forced marketing program, which is abysmal. Corporate only has the capability to utilize east coast ideas....so if it fails for you, too bad.
Leadership is dishonorable and unethical. First thing, fire the marketing department and let owners use the $32,000 we're forced to spend, on programs that work for our specific territory. I don't know what you'd do about the rest of leadership....maybe put people in that really focus on franchisee success instead of prying every dollar they can out of our wallets. Bottom line, you're taking a chance. If their programs work, great! If not, you're screwed.
