Manufacturers are getting more tough to exercise their monopoly practice by updating the firmware continuously as Chinese clones are flooding the market which leaves the franchisees ability to refill or remanufacture keeps getting smaller.

What I saw last 15 years there isn’t much they can do to improve. It is different world now. People print less and less, and compatibles are flooding the market.
