Overall, the franchise concept is fantastic. The Cookie Cutters franchise, in particular is, managed corporately by good people with excellent experience and teamwork, and relatively low overhead costs and fees compared to most franchises. It can be a very fun atmosphere to work! Once the brand is built locally, business will continue largely based on word-of-mouth and very little need for marketing spend.

The issues for the industry are a dependence on a limited pool of skilled workers to do the job (cosmetology or barbering license by the State), where many in the industry are not the most reliable and may often come with drama. Over time though a great team can be built though, and every service business seems to struggle with quality staffing. The Cookie Cutters brand could use a refresh, but in keeping the current branding it does keep costs low.

Overall the corporate team is amazing. Two areas of focus already for them continue to be 1) tech infrastructure improvements and 2) profitability amongst the franchisees.
