A brand with an exceptional mission and tremendous potential, increasingly undermined by inconsistent leadership, inadequate franchisee support, and operational inefficiencies.
I believe strongly in The Little Gym’s mission, curriculum, and the positive impact we have on children and families. The brand offers a unique, meaningful service that builds confidence, develops skills, and strengthens communities. At its core, The Little Gym is a brand with tremendous potential and a product I am proud to stand behind.
My greatest frustration is the growing disconnect between the strength of the brand and the quality of its franchise leadership and support. Constant operational inefficiencies, unreliable technology, inconsistent marketing strategies, and a lack of meaningful franchisee input have created unnecessary burdens on owners and their teams. Rather than empowering franchisees to grow their businesses, the franchisor increasingly shifts operational responsibilities onto them while failing to provide the infrastructure, accountability, and support necessary for their success.
Corporate leadership needs to shift its focus from implementing constant change to delivering consistent, measurable improvements in franchisee support and operational efficiency. This starts with reliable technology, responsive support systems, greater transparency and accountability, and meaningful franchisee involvement in decisions that directly impact their businesses. Franchisees need fewer initiatives and more solutions, supported by clear action plans, realistic timelines, and measurable results. Above all, corporate must recognize that its primary responsibility is to equip franchisees for success, not continually shift additional operational burdens onto them.
