PMI has a great concept, but corporate changes have had a negative franchise impact.
I enjoy the relationships I've been able to develop with the Franchisee community. Corporate does offer a large amount of resources that makes standing up your business easy.
I feel corporate has changed. I don't feel the same level of relationships with the corporate staff I did when I started. I don't like the costs to add new pillars to your franchise, if corporate is going to make money off of revenue you shouldn't need to pay large amounts of money to add. Corporate I feel doesn't understand the amount needed just to start a new pillar on top of what they want for a new pillar. I don't like that business coaches seem to keep changing so often, this absolutely be avoided. You build a relationship with your coach and they know your business, the knowledge is lost every time you change. The push for a BDM is too overwhelming. If your small, you can't afford it. Required software systems are expensive and not much of a vendor discount is given for something PMI is requiring nation-wide.
Business Coaches should not be changed unless absolutely required due to someone leaving the company. Understand software changes are expensive and time consuming. Look at the actual cost on a franchise before requiring using a software. Look into how to help franchisees that can't afford a BDM. A BDM can't be the final answer, especially in states that the BDM has to be licensed.
