A good residential brand that is being destroyed by incompetent corporate leadership.
Freedom to run my own business. Good basic model on residential. Good support model for the first two years while the franchisee is in development. Good tools for generating customer estimates and proposals.
Dysfunctional corporate leadership team that is weak in every area. Nonexistent communication, lack of transparency and critical thinking. Right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Disconnected from details of what is going on in the real world business. Residential market lead landscape has changed since COVID and they have no clue about how to proceed in the current environment. Royalty and General Advertising dollars are wasted on initiatives that do not drive franchisee businesses forward. Commercial team is lost wondering around the dessert. They are incapable of meeting the franchisee where they are at in their individual market.
I believe the issue really starts with First Service Brands. Apparently they operate their businesses like a holding company and are disconnected from what is really going on in the business. The leadership situation needs to be addressed. In my previous life I was a senior executive for a fortune 180 company whose parent was a fortune 10 company if it was publicly traded. All of the current leaders would have been fired a long time ago.
