The marketing and sales support provided seem robust, but the majority of franchise owners are not even making $100k per year and have less than 10 clients.

Ability to help businesses

it is very difficult to sell

They can employ a real sales professional to help instead of the ra-ra re-work of features and benefits. There is too much emphasis on brochures, collaterals. The marketing event ideas are robust but often do not work (there are pockets of success, which they use to make sure the rest of us feel like losers). With economic uncertainly, the American franchisees have had tremendous difficulty and almost all growth has come from overseas.
